Thanks to Margie and Jerry for posting this beautiful eulogy.

GLASS, Gilbert Gamez On May 6, 2017 our beloved father peacefully entered eternal life. He will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Christine and Roxanne; brothers, sister, five beautiful grandchildren, family and friends. Gilbert was a magnetic man and made an unforgettable impression on those he encountered throughout his life. Gilbert was born in the barrio of Tucson, AZ on March 21, 1946 to Estelle Glass and Hortensia Gamez. He was highly gifted mentally and physically and excelled academically and athletically. He attended Tucson High Magnet School, was team captain of the wrestling club and graduated at the top of his class. He then attended and graduated from Arizona State University and one year later graduated from Thunderbird School of International Management. In 1985 he moved to NYC in order for his daughters to pursue careers in the performing arts. There, he worked for the Federal Gov't Family/Child Protection Services in Manhattan. Later in life Gilbert dedicated himself to helping those less fortunate, providing care and dignity to their lives. Gilbert was a lover and master of language and communication, a fierce reader, brilliant writer, razor- sharp thinker, always curious. He appreciated the performing arts, nature and critical thought. He was a humble mentor to many. May you rest in peace dear father. You will never be forgotten. We love you always and we "follow you" forever. Arrangements by HEART OF TEXAS CREMATION BURIAL.
